Tired of predators in cyberspace?  Tired of the liars, cheaters, and marketers using the Internet to invade your privacy and your computer without your knowledge? 

After I wrote the above paragraph I read an article Sick of Spam?  Prepare for Adware.  I have SpyBot, SonicWall hardware firewall, Symantec Server virus software, McAfee desktop virus protector and "still" received this pesky enemy.

I have been keeping an extra drive slaved to the boot drive with a complete operating system and programs.  I tried to rid the Adware programs and they just kept replicating and overloaded my RAM ("random access memory") of 768 MB.  I had to remove the infected drive and replace it with the backup.    I do not know how it got in, but be forewarned - this will "bring you down." - Larry Blakeley

I believe that cyber predators are unstoppable, will increase in sophistication, and are a fact of life that is here to stay as long as you surf to websites that are there to sell you something..

However, I also believe that an alternative to just going out blind with Google and other searching techniques over the Web to be preyed upon might be to predominately stay within "communities" of people you know and can trust for guidance.

This website has an enormous amount of hyperlinks to sources of information. I have tried as best I can to keep you within this website. When you find an area you are interested in learning more about - then you exit. Most of the time you will exit to websites that are not commercial in intent - in other words, not trying to sell you something.

By doing so, you will be able to surf much faster (no popups, heavy graphics, etc.) within this website. Also, the websites I have selected outside of my website are pretty fast on downloading Web pages. And, you should not encounter spyware, etc.

This website is a preview of what a community of trust might resemble.
