I manage this Web site and the following Web sites: Leslie (Blakeley) Adkins - my oldest daughter
Lori Ann Blakeley (June 20, 1985 - May 4, 2005) - my middle daughter
Evan Blakeley- my youngest child
It's very difficult to figure out what is really coming down. The marketing deception and lies don't help matters any. I am doing everything that I can to "learn" the truths and "change." You see, they bet on the fact that most of us are not capable, or just too empathetic to uncover the truths of what's happening in our local, state, and federal governments, our education system, our youth in America, and the marketplace."
My recommendation, "Adopt even more skepticism than usual and learn how to discover the truth for yourself."
Why is this such a big deal?
Light example: "You purchase a neat little digital camera. You take photos of your new baby. You load them on your computer. Your computer crashes. And, now the one-in-a-lifetime photo you cherished vanished into thin air - virtually in an instant. Gone. Forever."
Continue with Light Example: "You are smarter than that. You back everything up, daily. Good job! Even that is subject to our human nature frailty. Sorta like the exercise or weight-loss programs. We buy that nice treadmill machine so we can walk - rain or shine. Now, a couple of years later we don't know what to do with it. So, it just sits there taking up space, or we sell it in a garage sale for pennies on the original purchase price dollars."
Continue on with this Light Example: "Your not normal, but are the ultimate disciplined freak of nature. You always backup. You store your backups on media and file them away. And, several years later you decide to view the photos. But, they won't load!"
What's wrong with this thing? "Well, nobody told you that standards and formats change (and ever so quickly these days!)."
I won't go on further, but knowing these "truths" is what my research into information and document management has been all about. And, it's really difficult to uncover.
Heavy example: "You've been told (nearly 40 years ago) by certain quotable people by the media and the United States government that it is necessary for lives to be lost in the pursuit of freedom, democracy, and human rights."
"Well, what red-blooded American is going to argue with that? This is the greatest (whoops, I meant "one of the greatest" - which is another story, altogether) country in the world. And, damn well worth fighting for?" Right? "Well, yes, if that was the "truth."
My story to follow will include more "truth" than you are probably willing to read. But, it will be here, none-the-less for discovery.
At the risk of being labeled as just someone who is "still angry over the way the Vietname war was conducted" - I respond, "yes, I am. And, damn angry about it still. In fact, "I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore! The lies, deceptions, and downright missmanagement of this tragedy from day one have been uncovered by our historians why has devoted their entire lives to understanding and uncovering the why's and wherefore's. But, the only part of society that knows these truths are them and their college or university students. Why? Because most Americans read newspapers that are written for a 7th grade education and a lot of news is suspect to being propaganda for either the right or left - whatever their motives are. Their weapon of choice are lies and deception through the written word. Without knowing that we are again being duped then we will "allow" others to make the decisions for us, without having to put out any effort at all because we want learning and understanding to be fed to us like a baby. And, sadly our great country will continue to make the same mistakes over and over, again. And, we just don't understand why "they" hate us so because we are a nation built around principles and values that are good. And, we give a helping hand to so many other countries in need. Maybe, we need to look at our motives for giving. Maybe, we need to give without expectations in return. And, maybe we should listen to what the young have to say before labeling them with being "Un-American" and shooting them down in our very own streets for being so!"
"I'm angry about politicians who rely on others, who rely on others, who rely on others in some corner of some building with no windows to the outside, no children or father to send out to get killed on "foreign" soil, and underestimate the fact that some tribes, villagers, cities, states, countries, etc. don't want the "close to God" Americans interfering with their class struggles. Unless, of course, if we want to give away some money!"
"You see, some of these tribes, etc. have been fighting over issues that are centuries old! And, we somehow either convince ourselves (or, rather persuaded) that we are "the way and the truth" for them and every other human being walking the face of this planet."
I say, "we have issues here that are centuries old that need tending to ourselves."
My story will cover these, also.
